I am working on a unstyled A I put high compression aluminum pistons in it so far but would still like some more power. I have thought about a styled crank but dont know if I want to go that route and was told that it will not work with my pistons. What else can I do to get some more power from my A. I would like to get 35-40 horsepower. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. THanks

I wouldn"t rec boring a carb, especially since there are bigger ones out there... Big nut G for example. You may pass more air thru it, but if you screw up the venturi effect, you just slobber the fuel in there, not atomize it.

Change the mag to a distributor with electronic ignition and a hot coil. Change the carburetor to a big nut G carb. and bore out the carb.

Take 6 3/4 crank (styled A) and have it offset ground 1/4" (resulting in 7" stroke). Have JD 329 rods mated to your rods or have custom rods made. Assuming you have no ring groove, make rods as long as possible. Sparkplugs will limit how far forward pistons can travel. Will increase cid, compression, and torque. Can all be done for under $500 with welded rods (depending on where you get the late A crank).
