What is the best tire pressure for pulling. I pull in the stock class.

General rule: Hard track, hard tires. Soft track, soft tires.

Although I have never ran as high as 25 lbs,I believe in high tire pressure to keep the center of the tread from pushing up and lugs from rolling back, but that said, if you have enough tread on your tire that rolling lugs is a problem you are hurting yourself. 3/8 to 5/8 tread is enough on most tracks, but that is a whole other discussion. mEl

With equal contact area on the ground. A tall narrow 38" tire needs more pressure than a 26 or 30" dia rim. The tire should be stiff enough not to let the tread bars bend back instead of biting in. If you are going to make a mistake on tire pressure. Better 2 psi over ideal instead of 2 psi under the ideal psi.

no one can tell you the answer. alot depends on the track on the class. you dont want it riding on the rims but dont want it so hard (which i doubt you are producing enough power) but you dont want it hopping. also if you get it too hard the tirewill u and then you dont get maximum cleat and max traction. no one can give you a good answer. if your on a loose dirt track its totally different then if your on a hard clay track. also to do it correct say your running 3500 4500 and 6500 for arguments sake as you add more weight you should also change air pressure as well. trial and error is the best experience.

I found the harder the tire the better. I run 25 lbs in my Super M. This way the tire doesnt flex under the weight of the sled and you dont lose hitch height.

i would think on a hard track you wouldnt have 100% of your tread on the track at 25lbs

I tried it just out of the blue at a pull last summer. I have 14.9 firestone long bars that are almost new and still with the 25 lbs of pressure they seem to bite better on the hard clay track. The track was so hard you would leave black marks and only bite in about 1/2 inch. It got me 1st place so I havent changed back to 10 lbs which I used to run. I checked the ruts when I was done and they were not cupped in in the middle-pretty flat hole left. It seemed to pull pretty well at that pressure.
