FARMALL 450 GAS HEAD !
Many company's mfg'ed a step dome and or as M&W a fancy looking thing that bumps up all over the place !
If the raised part does not go higher than the spark plug, (i.e. 450 head has the plug located hi-in the head, close to the valves), does the configuration make that much difference.
As long as their is a fire slot across the step, will this accomplish whats intended !
Why did the old design's leave a small indent in the piston where the plug fired ? Just to overkill what ever head was used !
When filling the combustion cavity, is their a design that better creates turbulance or a continued mix of fuel ! If you have to create more compression, is their a way when it explodes to better create a bounce instead of energy moving at right angles ?
I guess what i'm asking is, any mfg can create a cc increase, how do you design what would harness the explosion into a more effective burn pattern or thrust motion without loosing the force that exists.
