How big of a bore can you get out of an H . How much power would you have with a little carb work and some other stufff like that.

I put internationsl 350 pistons 3 and 5/8 bore a, ported and polished my head bigger valves,decked the block, milled the head, and a few other small items and I am getting 48 hp, might not sound like alot of hp but the motor pulls 2nd gear on most tracks in 3500, and really puts the power to the ground.

3-13/16 is about the max bore you can go with the H block. Id would hard block it, up to the bottom of the water plate if you go out that far. You will have to stroke it to go that big, I dont know of any other pistons that will work with stock stroke, until you get up to a 4 inch bore. H blocks cant go that large. 300-350 blocks can, but real thin too. ChadS
