how much extra hp would i get if i bored the block for 3 7/8 pistons over a 3 3/4 pistons .is it worth the money to do this,thank you tom

i have done nothing yet just trying to gather some info.i just dont want to go 3 3/4 piston ,when i could go 3 7/8 for just a bit more money. my jd a and i no how to get last to well. thats why iam going to try the other green

No. I have two tractors out to 3-3/4 in. The extra bore did increase my HP. BUT, if you had to add the machining expense.....to me, not worth it. Any other work done??? Just my opinion. How much horsepower you after???

You may also need to turn and cut the 3 7/8 sleeves to fit. I can build you a motor or long block with 4 or 4 1/16 pistons for more power. Give me a call or you can email me for more info. I have a good block ready to start.
