my g w/403 has about 195psi compression.
has 4232 heads, good pistons, carb by motec. everything else is stock.
I have ran high octane pump gas. but prefere racing gas #118 octane much better performance, its only about $ 5.00 a gallon in N.C.
plenty of power in 10,700 lb class

You may be further ahead to use somewhat less compression, and work on making the engine "Breath" as well as you can..the more it can "pump in" the more HorsePower it will make, and the Lugging abillity will be better than a super high compression would be.. Too High a compression can reduce the room for flame travel, Turbulence and reduce combustion efficiency. Ron..

What you need to ask is "What fuel do I intend to use"....

Anything over 9.5 to one(maybe less) and you have to run 93 octane gas at a Mimimum... After you go above 10 to 1 you need to run av-gas or fuel used by racing engines..Plenty expensive..Last I bought was around $50.00 for 5 gallons...for 130 Octane Leaded. At 200 lbs..you will deffinitely need Racing fuel..you can't afford "detonation" in a low RPM engine..
