Went to move the truck out of garage yesterday and when starting it ran like a carburated engine with the choke on. Sat there chugging and died. No service engine light came on and had to press accelorater to floor to re-start, flooded. It's a 92, 5.0 with auto trans. Any ideas? Thanks

Pressure regulator on the fuel rail may have gotten something in it, or failed. or, your plugs maybe were getting bad then it gave up, I have a T-bird that did the same thing flooded it out, regulator died in it. Then few weeks later, in tank pump died too, so it may be a chain reaction getting ready to start. May have gotten wet as well, and got an electrical plug harness wet. Did it start up and smooth out, or still dead in the water? ChadS

Started it this morning and ran fine. Mechanic friend suspects regulator too.
