Hi I have been reading the post and trying to decifer(Sp) how to tweak the most Hp out of the machine. My school has a donated 49 B that i am working on that I will pull evently. The guy has a powerblock for it and a head that is pretty much shaven down to the valve seats. It is through our ag shop department and me along with some friends are building it to pull. Everything was donated. I want to do something to the carb. I could send it off to roberts but but want to do things on my own. I want to enlarge the body and put a bigger ventri in it or something. I read and saved the topic that Chad S. wrote for the farmall's. It is a DLT 67 I think not 100% sure. What model would I need to go with to accomplish this. How much HP do ya think would come out of this beast?

I have a later B that I pull also. As far as the carb goes, I would suggest just getting a DLTX-71 from a late A.

You said the head is shaved down to the valve seats. Has the tractor been run like this? The reason I ask is that on the bottom side of the valve, on the cyclone heads there is an "eyebrow" there and it is hollow underneath that. Unless something else was done to it, I would think that that area would be paper thin.
