I hope they do and that the tractors go out of the country. they turned this hobby or sport for the average man to have some fun and to maybe recover the entry fee and fuel cost, into a win at all cost. the amount of money they have into these tractors, they need to build some LSS Light Super Stocks and pull, but i been told, that they played that game in colorado and couldn't keep up. so they brought their money and EGO'S to the NATPA and they have basically ruined that association, as well as their tractor builder, Marlatt shop or whatever he goes by now. these guys putting 25 to 40 thousand in division 4 and 5 tractors are stupid, tha NATPA is about as bad to allow this. BIG EGO PULLERS, don't go away mad, just go away. Eric Stephen

Hey Truth,

I believe the saying is "If you can't run with the big dogs, stay ON the porch. How about this - "If you can't pull with the big boys, put it back on the trailer".

To the people that responded, no I did not get a spanking, nor I am jealous of these people. Hell if they want to build a bon fire with the money, I dont care. If I chose, to run that class I could have. Look at the number of entries at the pulls they attend, that is if you all can count above 4 or 5 tractors, wow what a class. That why USAP has the fairest rules, so that big money doesn't buy you wins, just count the number tractors at his pulls. Oh, by the way I am building a light Super Stock, that will be competetive at the state and regional level, for less money that their tractor. have a good day Eric Stephen

Last time I checked it was a free country. Spend as much money as you want to spend and I will never hold it against you. Since when was having or spending money a crime. They didn't take it from you so I fail to see a shred of logic here. Big guy / little guy, everyone can play in this sport. I am tight with what little dollars I have in my tractors and personally love to see folks going all out on theirs.

Speakin of a waxin those olivers are handin it to no matter what u do. Your four cylinders can't hold a torch to an olivers 6. You will get smart and get tired of getting chapped and get a six cylinder if u want to run in game.

First of all, I am not your son paulmt39. My dad had why too much class and intergrity, something that your will probably never have. second of all the junk that you put out and rip people off, it doesn't hold up. No I have never pulled division 3, I pull with USAP in the 3 MPH class, and do quite well, also "DAD" i do hook some in the 4 MPH, but because of the tire rule that i have to run in the 3MPH, I am at big disadvantage in the 4 MPH. Its apparent that your business partner didn't like your business ethics either. You ought to move to Colorado to be by your sugar daddy. Have a good day "DAD" Eric Stephen

Eric,

What Bill did was build a tractor "within" the rules as written. Yes he did step into the gray area and that is what any good puller will do to get an advantage. That is why rules change. Rules have changed for years and will continue to change as long as there are inovative people in this world. As well in the LSS class, the pullers you will have to beat are the ones that are inovative and using the gray area of the rules. It would be great if there was a class that was "IROC" like where it all came down to driver skill. However, that would be boring. Its that drive to make/do something different that someone else has not done or thought of that keeps true pullers and fans coming back.

The high power tractor motors don't have much life. Don't suppose they feel they are running on empty.

the bears are quiting because he realized his engine in that farmall is poop and marlatt likes to screw people. so he figured he would get some money for those tractors before marlatts great engines are in pieces laying on the track.

You forgot to add that it is a winning tractor, that has stayed on top and proved itself, over and over again. I was there last year when you checked the rod bearings that had been running for 7 years. I also helped put them back in, because they looked like they had 1 hour on them. No one thinks about the skill that is involved in building a winning tractor. I don"t care how much money a man has, no paper is strong enough to hold a rod in block. Even if you pack it tight. $30,000 is not squat in the antique car world, so what is wrong with a $30,000 tractor other then I can"t afford one??
