I Will be coming down 71 from Kansas City. I know I am supposed to turn on Civil War Road. Question is, "where is Civil War Road?" How far into Carthage? What are some landmarks to look for before I get to the turn? Thanks Jerry

Real easy to find. You will be going south on 71 and as you get to the north edge of Carthage 71 turns right or west for a little over a mile before going back south again. After you first go west the 1st exit is Civil War Road.Go off to the right and head north to the pull.

Thanks for the directions. It has been over 20 years since I have been to Carthage and I always came from Joplin so I didn't remember that 71 ran East/West for a little while. Thanks again.

Jerry

One thing I should have mentioned is that the John Deere dealer (Murrell Equip) is located right north of Carthage on the west side of 71 on the outer road.As the crow flies the pull site cant be much over a mile west-northwest from it.

Just go on west around the big curve south of the JD dealer and head west on 71 until you see the Civil War road exit on the right. This is for everyone coming from the north.Real easy to find.I live about 50 miles from the pull and am in Carthage often.
