Would a 18 inch tire like a 18.4.30 be put on a 20 inch rim??? Has anyone tried this, and if so how did it work??? THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!!!

used to be done all the time,it works but it seems the engineers actually know something!
the new way is to put them on the suggested rim and cut them,this loses weight also.
if you are running in a no-cut class,go for the wide rims.

around here we run 18.4 38s on 20 inch wheels. it does fine. some guys like 18 inch rims but on a good hard pulling track, the wide tire is an advantage as long as you have the motor. the more on the ground the more the motor.if you want to go wide but not gear up go with an 18x34 on a 20" rim..
