Ok, the winter is half over. Any puller machines coming out with new names? "Your Mama" and "Ugly Duckling" should be running soon. "Brutus" sits quietly back in the shed waiting for pump work. "Pi$$ Ant" has a dead battery. "Ring Money" still needs some ether, but runs ok in thhe winter. "Captain Hook" has been reduced to little more than a pile of parts. The new mag is on the way for "Old Grey Mare". "Little Brown Jug" arrived Sunday morning. "Bubble Boy" will arrive making the second LP burner to cross the 1.5 acre Mopower ranch. It's always funny to see what people call these things, but it is the only way my girlfriend can keep them straight.

Ya know, the great philosopher, mechanic, and tractor enthusiest, Roger Welsch, wrote an interesting piece about naming your tractors. Womenfolk are much more apt to like the idea of "Sweet Allis" or "Cap"n Hook" instead of "Minneapolis Moline U # 17" If you haven"t read his books, I"ll send them to ya. It"s a must!

I have been somewhat partial to "Berrien County Binder" but keep it only to my self. "My dad suggested "Bad as I want to be" only to find that there is a pretty bad Allis with that designation.
Of course, everyone around here will know of my name, because my co worker Kevin goes home EVERY night to his computer just to read what I wrote so he can recite it back to me EVERY day at work!

Either way, It"s all fun! Should be interesting to hear what others have to say....later, AC

Originally my 52 Super M came out of a fence row in pretty bad shape and was rebuilt by a good friend of ours, hence I named her "The Fence Row Queen".
