What did everyone there think of the sled that was used for the open classes?

I've pulled the Bull Dog Sled several times around here because it's the local sled and I agree that it's a heavy sled but what truck sled isn't? I've seen smaller tractors pull that sled so it really can't be that bad. I like it even though it makes the tractors work a little harder!

Observer - Although I didn"t pull pull the Mighty Bulldog sled at Wichita, I have pulled it many times over the last few years. I think most pullers will say there just is not any finer sled operator than Kelly Starbuck. Other than the diesel smoke in that building, there is probably no other sled I would rather pull with the possible exception of Larry Richard"s Kansas Dragon Wagon.

I wasn't talking about the operating of the sled, I was refering to the fact that it is too big and heavy of a sled for a majority of the open tractors to pull on that soft of a track. All truck sleds are inherently bad though, having to have the operator try to follow the tractor...

That truck sled killed the open classes! Noone could get going! Worst display of sled use I've seen for a long time! They had it set way too heavy to start off with! Needed the Hotfoot or Kontrapshun!
