I have two sets of tires that need cutting. I will do it myself because I dont like spending money even if I have it. Unless there is some fool out there that will do two pair of tires for nothing then I think that I am screwed.
My question is, are there any faster ways of cutting tires other than the grinding discs and grinding cups? I always wondered if someone has a router rigged up with a special bit that will cut both front and top of the lug at the same time? I do it with grinding disc and cup, I also take most of the lug off of the top with a electric wood plainer, it goes through about three sets of blades for a set of tires, but it sure saves a lot of grinding. I am looking for any quicker or better way of doing this because I just am not looking forward to it at all! All help is greatly appreciated.

I did what you did. Power planer to take off the bulk of the material and a grinder to finish and the front face.
