Does anybody have any good tips, tricks, or ideas and opinions on cutting out the center disc on a set of pressed steal to move them in farther, or out further (depending on which side you're looking at). I think we may be able to cut the welds that hold the center to the rim with cutting disks, but I'm wondering how we are going to ensure that everything is lined up correctly when we go to move it in a few inches and re-weld it....i don't want it to be off a little and therefore have the wheel wobble as it turns. I know i'm prolly not the best at explaining things but i hope some of you guys understand and can help me out. Thanks!

Listen to SOS Puller, I have a couple sets of rims that he has done for me and they are straight as an arrow when he gets done. His prices are fair and personally I cann't see waisting time doing it when SOS will do it for you as fast and well as he does. Just my two cents.

P.S. I had to cut those Armstrongs off with a sawsall.

is the center spot welded in or regular weld. for a regular weld i use 4in cutting disk. spot weld use a torch. to put center back in turn valve stem side of rim down on floor put the center in put a straight edge across side and measure back side were the hub bolts on. put tack weld on each side and weld it in.

It's no problem. Just cut the welds and bolt the rim back on the tractor. You can clamp a stick or straight edge to the tractor somewhere for a guide. Just turn the rim and tap it with a hammer were it needs it, till it is true. Tack weld all 4 or 5 contact areas (depending on wheich centers you are using) then check it one more time before welding it.

The best way I found to line it back up is set a paint can or etc on the floor , close to the rim and turn it, after its bolted on the tractor
