how much do roller rockers help on a 77 oliver with a reground cam,longer stroke,headers and big carb

here's one that you can probably never get a straight answer to. Normally, when people to the engine rebuild, they put the roller rockers on at the same time. So you don't know what you got from the stroke, bore, breathing, and rockers...

I can say with 100% certainty that it will pick up between 1 and 100 HP...

Keep in mind that most of the roller rockers I have seen also have different ratios, which also changes things.

Realistically, and just guessing, probably a 5-10% increase

The roller rockers usually have a higher lift ratio and will open the valve a little more, but you will get more power increase from a good valve job that includes re-shapeing the valves, and seat/port area... With this type of valve work, you get higher flow at all lift heights anyway.. Maybe for less than the cost of the roller rockers..!!

Couldn't agree more! in my 2 tractors I pull, I found 7 horse on the dyno from a good port/valve job. Cheap power.....Most of the roller rockers will change to ratio to around 1.9 I believe. Making 'em breathe is cheap power that makes a noticable difference.....Just my opinion.
