Who is the best company to go through for my parts to stroke a G. I have heard alot from Merfeild.... but I want a company that I can go through to get my crank, cam, head... the works, and is easy to deal with. I talked to a guy from Iowa... I cannot remember his name, or his number and he did all of this and would send it to me as a kit.

Thanks for your help.

We use a guy from sommerset kentucky. I can't remember his name off the top of my head. But he is very good, fast, and cheap. He did a crank G crank for us to 9 3/4 and we had it back in 6 to 8 weeks. I think he only charged $850 to do the crank. I'm pretty sure he does head and block work. We had bought a jerry's head and block for ours.

This is who I have also been told good things about... what about head work? I think he goes with Jerry's head, and shaves it down if I am correct. Also, did he go with the 7.5 block.

What kit did you get from him. I talked to him before and there are a number of ways to go. I am thinking 10 by 7.5. I have always said if I am going to do this I am going to go big.... but would a 9ish x 7.5 be alright?

I just want some input from a person that has had this done. If you dont want to put this info on line... ill give you my email and we can do this on a low key basis.

If you post your email address I'll contact you. We have alot of spare parts to put something together. I also have a couple of tractors I'd like to sell. I have built 6 tractors of the size you are talking about. You can learn alot by talking to someone whose been there, and save alot of money too!

Merfeld should be able to do everything. He does do good work. He has done several engines for me ,however if you want it done in a timely manner you might wanna shop around.Took him nearly a year or more to get my parts back to me.
