I HAVE HEARD OF 77'S PULLING IN THE 4000 TO 4500 POUND CLASSES. MINE WEIGHS ABOUT 5300 WITH FOUR WEIGHTS TOTAL ON THE REAR TIRES, NO LIQUID. iF I TAKE THE WEIGHTS OFF TO GET INTO A LIGHTER CLASS, WON'T THE TIRES JUST SPIN INSTEAD OF DIGGING IN BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF WEIGHT ON THE REAR. I HAVE SEEN 77'S PULL WITHOUT WEIGHTS AT ALL, BUT WAS NOT SURE OF ANY LIQUIDS IN THE TIRES. CAN SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN ME ABOUT THIS. THANKS!

Mike

My 770 with flat tops and wide front will get into the 4500 lb class. No fluid and no weights of course....Yours Should weigh about 50-80 lbs less due to smaller fenders.....I also have pressed steel all the way around....

I am not sure how much difference there is between a 77 and a Super 77 but mine weighs 3700 lbs with no driver, weight brackets, 14 " pressed steel and 14.9s with no fluid and no weights. It also still has the hydraulics, pto, and belt pulley. I am sure that I could get it into the 3500 lb class but it would not do very well. Now, I weight it to 4500 and 5000. I have to put nearly all of the weight on the back to get the traction I need.

I run my 77 in 3500 and up,never been beat in 3500-4000 lb open classes most always in top 3 in pace classes 3-5 mph.77 is one of the best "lightweight tractors" out there, but I'm not picky on color they ALL can be made to run.

Think spring, Rich B

it"s not unusual to see 77 in 4000 lb class. had a 77 that was in 3500 lb class. have 88 that makes 4000 lb class. even get 66 down to 2750 lb.
