First, I want to thank each and everyone of you for another great pull. I know all of you put in alot of time and effert before, during and after the pull to have it go as smooth as it does. It gets bigger every year. With 834 hooks in 2 days with not even minor problems speaks volumes for your club and the 2 sleds. Hope it keeps going at its present level or even better. HOW--a couple of concerns. Yes I agree with you and others that the track wasn't as good this year. Either the track was bad or the sleds were set a gear or 2 higher than other years or both. Maybe you could mix some clay in with the black sand? I know you have some time limits on getting the pull over so people can get back to the casino, but could you start earlier or go to 3 days of pulling? Have the drivers meeting at 7:30 and start pulling as soon as the meeting is over(no later than 8:00). Or spread the classes out over 3 days, with KOH the last class on the last afternoon? I don't think this year's last class of the day, the 6500lbs 4mph class, was treated equal to the other classes with the sled set as it was. It was very dishearting to pull in the KOH in the morning, wait all day to pull in the 6500 and the winner doesn't go much past the speed cone. Will I be Back---Yes. Will I bring more freinds---Yes. Will Mean Green fine tune some things and make it even better---I hope so.

The JD 435 signed up and pulled in the 4000#, 4500#, and 5000# Farmstock Classes. He DQ'd in the 4000# for exceeding the 4MPH limit. He later pulled in the 4500# and 5000# without incident.

Why was he not there Saturday? He pulled all he had signed up for on Friday. So probably just loaded up and went home when he was finished.

The 435 JD puller must not of been at the pullers meeting. They said RPM's would be checked if they sounded to high. RPM'S were not even close. Sounded like a model plane engine screaming. When a flywheel comes apart in the crowd,I for one dont want to be in the same county let alone in the same building. Mean Green team needs to tack these guys before someone gets hurt. When this happens it will kill tractor pulling as we know it. By the way Mean Green puts on the best indoor pull there is. Just need to enforce your rules you already have.

Yes ,but if your going to enforce 1 rule you need to inforce them all. yes the 435 did have a lot of rpm, but one of the rules says low gear only in the farm class, I personally seen more second gear tractors than low, also on the 435, yes it did pull friday and not sat, Here again ,1 of the rules is a total of 3 hooks in both days, which rules do you follow

3 pulls total for the two days not 3 each day. We didn't have any complaints from him over the DQ and he managed two more pulls without DQ-ing. He no doubt knew what things were all about to have made the two legal passes after the DQ....Spotter

Lurker,
Your concerns haven't gone un-noticed and I assure you they will be brought up at our next meeting. Get in touch with me by e-mail.... (aperry @greenpullers.com).....and I'll get back to you in more detail. I don't want to take up a lot of space here on the discussion board.

Anyone else, please feel free to do the same. We are always open to any and all suggestions.

Sorry Spotter, but my home computer has crashed and burned. I can't e-mail where I'm at now. Looks like MG is aware of the problems and are addressing them. Thanks for listening and trying to fine tune a great pull.

Farmer,
If some of our people had time to take any, I'll surely oblige by putting them up. You'll probably see Hook Magazine (Action Photos, I believe) notifying here that their pictures of Tunica will be available for viewing....Spotter
