Hello
I have a "48 JD model D i wish to modify slightly i want to pull in the stock class.

I pulled before in the 7000lb stock and took second, this tractor is bone original from the rad to the drawbar. It has the high speed final drives in it, which will be swapped to the slow sprockets. Any other ideas? dont want to go overly wild

Thanks, Russ

Schultzy, you can get any size 6.5 to 1 pistons from J. Hinricks @ 815-778-1900 or 499-6580.
1 question??? are you sure they are the high speed sprokets (28 teeth)? If they are think someone has already done the engine work for you if it pulls that good with 30" tires. just my .02

You'll have to look in the Hook or Green Mag.. but someone was offering 7in pistons (.250 over) for the late D's..

High compression gasoline pistons and cold intake manifold. There is an aftermarket dual exhaust that looks stock and adds HP too. Of course Robert's carb for a cam. And clean up the ports, three angle valve job and the dry air filter conversion.
