my local pulls say must be stock appearing, and allowed cut tires. So what tire and rims do I need what engine modifications do I need to make? Where do I find some small light wieght rims for the front wheels that will fit a wd45? Looking to spend about 2500$ this winter to make it more competitive.

it depends on how deep you want to get on this you can build a big hp or you can just tinker untill you are happy on how it is running and inproving as as you get extra $$ to spend on it

Tell me were to get started. I pulled this year (my first year) completely stock and pulled as high as 217% at a tug pull. the only thing i have done to tractor is put a pulling hitch and wieght brackets on it.

To help it cheap try chevy rat ex valves in intake. try Ford 460 smog pistons. flat head dodge rods. 5.5 stroke or 5.75if you want to grind use 4020 JD sleves. just get used ones put them in, then bore them. use a good machine shop, not a car place. don't worry about sealing them on the bottom. just pour a can of K&N block sealer in before you put the head on. Also I would dowell pin the manafold. so you get it on right.
