Will a 272 from a 615 combine fit in a IH-H? Just wondering since I have 2 in excellent shape. Would be willing to sell both reasonably.

C-221, C-263-C-291-C-301, as well as the diesils will bolt into the H. You will need some 460 parts, engine back plate, 460 flywheel, 460 clutch, Super H clutch disk, H pilot bearing. You then gotta swap starter rings from the 460, down to the H, then you can use the stock H starter. On combine engines, they have a different timing cover VS the tractor engines, once again, use one from a 460. 460 frame rails botl right on the H bellhousing, and is the same width apart as the H. If you have the parts, it bolts right in, Are ya sure its a 272? never heard of one,, usually, in the 615, you found the 221, and the 263, then the diesils had the 282. Sorry, brain fade. The're the 263"s. Would make easy Hp. for someone. Are'nt they close to 75 hp? On another note, we're taking our scales & distance board to Wausen for the pull this weekend. Since they want to start weighing @ 7:00 fri. we were going to take it over last night but didn't get around in time. Now its pouring down rain and will be changing to snow by the time Kevin gets off work. Hindsite = 100%. Guess you're going south so we won't see You. Have a good weekend.

Forgot to add, both combines are in good shape and are field ready. Always sheaded. 1 is a 615 and the other is a 101 with a 615 motor. Just seems dumb to take up storage space since we don't plan on using them again.[Starting to snow here in NE Ind.]

It would need to run first seems like it sounded better on the screen than it did in Laotto.Cant wait to see if the big H Something Wither egts spanked this weekend again .That is if it holds together seems like from all that HP it broke in Laotto also didn"t it .I guess I shoud throw a LOL in here to keep it in context.
