Hi Roland and others. You don't know me but Mopower and his dad pull in one of the clubs I belong to. First of all they are 2 of the greatest guy's you will ever want to meet. They have a great time pulling their MM's. They have chosen not to spend a bunch of money on their pullers but they have a great time and knock off a few of the higher power tractors once in a while, I KNOW. I know it won't be long before we are going to have to go back to the shop to keep up to him. The sport needs a good young enthusiastic guy like Mopower. Next summer I would invite any critics to come to Fowler Michigan and play with us. We get them from all over the state. Sometimes we get beat and sometimes we send them home with a little more humility than what they came there with. But the bottom line is that our main goal is for everyone to have a great time. From the guy with the B John Deere who raked hay with his tractor the day before to the 150HP M IHC or 88 Oliver that have a lot of money tied up in them. It's a choice that every puller makes and as pullers we need to respect whatever tractor comes into one of our pulls. Thank You and have a great winter and next season of pulling.

Hi Roland. Thanks for the kind words. I pull a sloppy smokey 1947 UTU that does well in loose dirt and on stone boat. Dad and I BOTH built the UBU in a "joint venture" for running the last couple years. I'm bored with that one, so Dad (55)is building his own 1950 UTU for Farm Stock, and I (26)am powering up my 1947 UTU & brand new new 1939 RT for plus classes. Our club doesn't run any open classes. I keep close ties with some MM fellas that build some pretty high end stuff. I listen and watch close because it's good to see what fits together and what works. Money is the limiting factor. It's always fun to beat a few high dollar machines with a cheap rusty heap once in a while. Make a lot of friends in this hobby too. I wouldn't worry about anyone that rips on you, me, or anyone else. I guess they got nothin' better to do. Who knows? Makes life more interesting. Keep pullin' Roland.

I think it only happened once. It was in the winter and snowing. They held it in the Kellogg Arena. Not sure who did it. It was cold, uncomfortable, and congested with tractors trying to park and move around. Also pulling on sandy dirt. If I hadn't have won something, it would have been worse. It went so late, they kicked everyone out and cancelled the cash pull-off at the end of the night. Not sure if has happened since.
