fire crater pistons

Looking for new pistons for the C-175. Napa sells a fire power piston. Is anyone familiar with them. How about Denny's. Has anyone tried them.

You can olny get firecraters for the C-175 350 engine. If that is what it is,, LOL! the reason is,, the old design was stepped head pistons, which fit the boxy shaped compression chambers of the older cyl heads. these stepped head pistons will fit in any cyl head chamber,,, the firecraters,, IH had to totally redesign the compression chamber to use the new fire crater piston design. The new burn pattern in the chambers now,, created by the fire craters, breathes so much easire VS the old stepped head pistons and cyl heads. In my opinion,, Firecraters are great! Go with TISCO on the rebuild kit. Cheaper than napa, same parts. ChadS

I haven't lookes into the Clevite Firecraters for the C-175, but the ones I saw were for a Farmall M at 4"

I saw some pictures of the Clevite pistons over at Redpower Magazine a while back. They look identical to the old IH Firecraters!! I wish I had known that when I rebuilt my 450, I used a set that looked like the M&W design. Not bad, but nothing is quite like a Firecrater!
