I am looking at some options of pressed steel wheels and I have a question as to should I go with the 38" or with the 34". Is there any advantages to the smaller tire such as weight, and price, etc.

I preferred the 38" over the 34". If you are stock horsepower try the 15.5 x 38", if you have 50-55 horsepower maybe 14.9 x 38", if you have more than 55 hp you could try the 16.9 x 38". If you have the late model JD-A with the low 1st gear you can probably take your pick of the ones I mentioned above. But above all check the rules of the places you plan to pull to see what tire sizes are allowed. Hope this helps!

I have a 52 A John Deere, and I ran 18.4x38 cut tires on 18" wide rims. Stock tractor with power block and pulled 5500-6500 easily.
