I pull a Farmall M with power supplied by Chevrolet. It is a blast and becoming very popular in Michigan.Lots of pulls with organized clubs.Farmall M,400,& 450's hold up well. Also, lots of Oliver 88's.Get to the shop and start building one.You won't be dissappointed!

If you want to stay in the Ford family and run something unique, email me, I can help you with beefing up a Ford 6000 to handle what you want to do.

Also, I have seen the MH 101 chassis mentioned by others. These work okay, but I have had trouble blowing the pinion shaft out the front of the tranny. It is easy to prevent by replacing the front cast iron pinion shaft cap (bottom left on the front of the tranny) with a steel one.

Make sure you check the rules in your area before putting a big block in anything. Just don"t want to see you build something that you can"t run anywhere. Alot of the pulls out East only let you run 3000 rpms with a big block. Give me a e-mail if you have any questions.

Cockshutt 40's are without a doubt the strongest rear end built upto 1960. Oliver and massey arent very far behind. The only problem with massey was they had a little less gear selection. But they are as strong as any. The 40 cockshutt is virtually indestructable though.

Cockshutt 40/50 (they're the same) rear ends are your best bet. They will handle 3,000 horsepower.
