To make a 400 series IH into a 505 cubic inch motor you need a block bored to accept Case 2590 sleeves (4 5/8 bore) but instead of a 466 crank to make a 540 you use a 436 crank to net 505.

case 504 sleeves and pistons will get you 540 cid.
sleeves have to machined so the o-rings are in the right spot and the block must be machined to fit the sleeves.
