Some LP IH combines had larger intakes over the gas models, depending on the carb flange difference, the throat of the intake could be opened up pretty large, would be a good torque manifold, for a IH replacemnt. Up to 3500 rpms, hope this helps, ChadS

Cool! I am working on a 460 project as well, for lite classes. Thought of selling it, but naa,, gonna get it ready to run in Princeton IN for thanksgiving. It is a good running engine, 263, lousy balance a the moment, way to heavy on the front. Are you still using the original IH governor off the 460, or ??? I have thought of getting a belt driven governor for the 460 I have, similar to the ones off the chrysler, and the continental 6 cyl ,massey harris. Mine will run 3000+rpms, has combine engine in it, still all stock in the block, cam and head. All the other work has been done, carb, ign, etc, etc, Still have alot to do to it, building a new front end for it, lighter, and a wide front. ChadS
