clay been a few years since worked on 39 or 40 b didn't have .125 over pistons for it went to late styled b 3/16 over with larger wrist pin bored out piston wrist pin to fit these still don't give a lot of compression but give more cubic inches lynn

If the cylinder walls will cleanup with only 45 or 90 thou over don't go 125. There will not be any difference in power gain between 45 or 125 over. Plus some metal will be left for future boring.

Bob at Triple G Service has aluminum M&W pistons. When I priced a set,he was real reasonable compared to everyone else. His number is 1-716-542-3175. 9:00am-8:00pm My engine man wanted one of my pistons so he could bore the cylinders to fit the piston.Hope this helps.

Clevite makes a decent product as well. But I like the head profile of the M&W style better. By the way, Bob at Triple G service is a fine gentlemen to do business with. His word is good.
