What do the big pullers mix with their diesel????? I am fairly new to pulling and I know the class was pro stock but you could smell it and your eyes would burn and it wasn't by any means straight diesel by any means does anyone know what it would be???? I know some of the guys run a water mist injection as well but this was more then that. Thanks for input.

was the a sanctioned pull?NTPA or ATPA?
if it was a fair pull or brush as they are called the PRO-STOCK label on the class is simply to get people to come.
if it was a fair pull their are several things you can dump in that will give it a off smell and burn the eyes.
i don"t think i have ever seen or heard of one on alcohol that burns the eyes or gives a foul smell.
oxygenator on the other had will do both.

then it could have been about anything,or a mix of things.
after i thought for a while we used to give a little LP trickle to them years ago and that would also burn your eyes.
it also smelled like, well you get the idea.:-)

at most organization pulls they will not let you run much!
diesel, water injection and a little lube for the water and lube for the low sulfur fuel as it it very hard on injection pumps.

no alcohol is allowed in any pro-stock class that i know of.
most people use a little ATF or 2 cycle engine oil in the fuel to help with lube.
tou can also buy a diesel treatment from one of many companies,to each his own.

No alcohol... huh, not really true... no straight alcohol, true. I dont claim to be smart; but this one I out did myself. We mix SPLASH windsheild washer fluid into out 6030 ProStock Deere. It has a little spruce juice, that just cuts the mustard. The concentration, im not going to tell you. But ill just say, it seems to give a little added edge.

i sure hope they never sample your water then,NTPA rules say no dual fuel.
prostock must be diesel or gasoline only.
if you pull at the fairs like i do,they call it pro-stock,but if one of the big boys show up no one would be close to him in the HP department.

put on hydralic filters in place of the engine oil filters, they still filter it but the also will not restrict as much.

Ya, he's already running a fine screen type filter now. I think it is just too many R's, 5500+ is a lot on a big block JD. Whee does it go though. Ed.
