has anyone out there pulled with tires turned backwards in dirt? Dad just pulled his new tractor, 48 Case LA, it has one tire turned backwards and he wanted to see how it pulled. Suprisingly the backwards tire pulled better with less dirt in front of sled, we may try on other tractors. any ideas?

A freind did it as a joke one time and whipped the whole class. We where pulling single engine mods indoors and the track was real loose. The only advantage I could see was there was no dirt building up in front of the skid plate. He stayed right on top and never got down into all the loose crap. Chaulk one up to dumb luck.

Alright, you"ve done it now. When somebody shows up at the next local pull with their tire backwards, I"ll know where it came from.

Imagine the millions of dollars that have been spent by pullers everywhere looking for an advantage and the whole time we were just too dam^ stupid to turn our tires around!

The back of the tread is likely sharper than the front from wear. Better yet 1/2 wear out a set of tires mounted backward then install them them the right way on your pulling tractor.

We always turn our tires around when pulling on blacktop.
