what is the minimum head height for a farmall super M. i bought the head off of a guy he said he took some off but not sure how much. the local machine shop doesn't have a book on them

You mean the deck surface thickness? You can measure them atthe triangle shaped water ports, try to keep the deck thickeness .250+ thick, for pullers, and for a work horse, .275-.300 thick. That is the as this as you would want that surface of the head,, seen em break under .225 thick, wasnt pretty,,,, ChadS
