IH460 ENGINE SWAPS

I know a 715 combine motor will fit the 460 if you use the 460 flywheel,but does anyone know if a 815 combine motor can also be use as an easy swap,and if it makes any difference if it"s gas or diesel Any assistance with this project is greatly appreciated thank you

Is it a 414? the bell housing will give you fits on the 460, the 560 bell may be a better choice, it is bigger like the M,s were, more room for flywheel. Takes some measuring for a flywheel, and starter ring location, so you can use the stock starter, If you can put the 466 in a 06-56 tractors, you can do the same to the 560. the 460,,, ehhhh, would be alot of work for a small flywheel. then you have clutch problems with such a small flywheel. a 10-12 inch clutch wont hold the power from the 414. the 560-06-56 models may. I believe you will find that the used a v-8 if it was gas.H.H

The largest block is the 301
basically the 460 without sleeves. Anyone of those
engines will work 460-806 or combines this is gas
or diesel. the 615 was a 263 and the 715 a 301.
The combines were rated higher hp and that's basically newer style intakes, carbs and more rpms.
