Just curious about any new Texas clubs forming and any new sleds that are being built or bought. Still pulling with TATPA and plan to continue but also frequent the Burton bunch and the New Braunfels/Hondo group (I think they are starting to have more pulls down south in our area) Just wandering if any new sleds are being built and where they are at and how BIG of a tractor they will stop? Red

Colorado County fair in Columbus TX is Sept 10,11,12 TATPA Has been a great pull and is getting larger each year, many spectators.

Thought you would have made it up to Temple last weekend. The Burton bunch had a big meeting tonight about the EDGE&TA South Central Regional show for next July (2005). The pull we were going to have in Oct. if officially cancelled. We are planning on hauling to Richmond and pull indoors, or at least "Casper" and my tractor are. We have invited some of the TATPA bunch to come try the old lone star sled out the sunday after richmond. I think that I am finally getting more of the kinks out of my old super m. Also, heard at the driver's meeting in Temple, they are looking at a "farm stock" class. That should be interesting. Anyways. Thats all that I know going on in my neck of the woods.

Yea we couldnt get teh tractor dialed in in time. Got a new radicle cam and it didnt work right and we had other work to do and didnt have time to get it back together. Dont know if we are going to Richmond or to Harris county if the New Braunfels group pulls there. A farm stock class would be ok but I pull my farm stock in teh pasture in front of a baler or disc why drag it 4 hours to pull again. Now start a super farm diesel or a pro stock class and I wouold do it. That is what is going to bring spectators, not the little put put put around down the track. We want to put the big diesel back togethre but not if they wont let us pull anywhere. Yalls sled and the tatps sled are the only ones around that could stop us. You did a good job running yalls pull and lining everyone up. The lady at teh registration table had some issues again this year and makes things harder than they are and the boy telling everyone what to do at teh little sled got on a few nerves. I think there is a pull somewhere on teh weekend of yalls in october is it richmond? Later, Red

We cancelled the pull in October b/c of the TATPA pull in Richmond. Think some of us are hauling there. But, we have invited the TATPA boys for a little grudge match on the ole' lone star sled the sunday afterwards. The unforgiving sled pan will change the tune of a few of those tractors used to pulling in 3rd on the TATPA sled. Thanks for the compliments on the work we did. Changes are in order for the next pull in April/May. I just gotta keep on top of things and try to make them better. We appreciate all that come and make the pulls worth while and deal with our growing pains.

Yea, I think that TATPA has a pull in abilene that following weekend. There is a big difference in the 2 sleds. I weighted our little red tractor to 6000 on that friday evening and pulled it in 1 st gear and it did great but 2nd gear couldnt get it going. then again a 3500 pound H isnt supposed to be pulling in the 6000 pound class. We want to put the pro stock back together and burton would be a great place to bring it but with that clubs insurance rules I dont know if we could pull. Having to pay insurance for a weekend and hook fees is a lot for spending 20K putting a tractor back together and not getting anything in return. Its all about getting spectators in the seats and black smoke screaming turbos and the smell of diesel or alky is what is going to do it.
