I have a totally stock 806 and wish to enter it in a couple antique pulls at a couple county fairs. I need a bit of information as to what to do. My tires are goodyear short/long bar and at aprox 40 to 50% tread. I have a 2 point hitch with a homemade underslung swinging drawbar made from a cut down 560 swinging drawbar.
My question is on the drawbar can I put the link arms in the stablize position (this is one of the first 806's without the telescoping drawbar) there is no bracket for it. If I put the links in the stabalized position I could use the screws to get the max drawbar height allowed hopefully.
As for tires do I have good enough tires for the pull?? I have no cloride and 1 weight plus several wheel weights that could be put on plus a full set of front end 72 pound weights. I have a few contacts that pull but sometimes guys do not want to tell a fellow much to help them as they might be beaten.
I would appreciate any information.
Oh the tractor is a diesel with a wide front end
