Thanks,

We can run anything with a wheel base under 100".
The AMC's are tough little cars in the compacts. Have seen a lots of Spirits, (what we run) Pacers, (fish bowl cars) and some Grimlins. We take the AMC drive line out completly and repower them with 2.3 Ford Ranger's. with auto trans. Throw away the electronic stuff and go back to a points distributor. Use a single one barrel carb.Use the Ranger rear axel as well after welding up the spiders to make it a locker differential. Can't run any tranny coolers, we just loop the line going to the radiator back into the trans. Run single rib tractor stearing tires up front and a narrow 15" implement traction tire on the back. Take a space saver "donut" tire, cut side bead off sidewalls and put it inside the implement tire with a tube, (this takes 3 men and a gorilla to get stuffed in) Even if the tube goes down the tire is so stiff it stays up. Then weld every thing on the car you can, doors seams, sheet metal, etc.

Fun, Fun, Fun!

One thing,, This fuel does not like rpm,, I have ran it in my drag car, and it did not like it too much, It works very well in the low side of the engines power band, but it seems to just give out, after 4500 rpm. Will run cool as long as you keep it under 3000, Found tha the best derby cars were the ones that were driven and not hot rodded, where heat was concerned. Does it have a straight 6, 304,360, or 390? I wont be home till tomorrow, pullin tonite, 574-893-7437 around 10 am. ChadS
