Want to try pulling in the Pure Farm Stock class in the 5500 weight. Tractor with me on it weighs 5380. How many extra feet will 120 lbs. get me ?

If your class is 5500 lbs, then weight your tractor to 5500 or as close as possible. It certainly makes a difference.

Don... more importantly is getting the 120 lbs in the correct location on your tractor... Not sure what your rules are in a pure stock class are... most are No hang on weights.. If you need front weight it will help a lot.. (although you might not need all of the weight on the front..) Front weight weights are harder to come by... water can be added to the front tires for weight... we have also had tires filled solid that would work too.. You'll just have to add some weight and play with it to get the correct balance... and every track will be a little different...

The difference between being an also ran and being in the top three. Winning is making certain all the .1% details are taken care of. The top three winners often all pull within 12" difference on the track.

Lots of other variables. Tire pressure, Hitch hight, pulling point from center of axle. extra weight location and of course how well it runs.
