I got a JD A that jsut galops to beat the ban and in can't for the life of me figure out why. What possibly can casue this? and corrections. it only galops when it is under a light load. thanks alot anyone.

At idle and light load a plugged idle fuel passage will do it. Too much gain on the governor linkage/spring will do it too.

what could it be in the govenor..it was all rebuilt with all new berrins and bushings and the C deally that runs the throttle off teh weights. the weights look like new. im baffled....:S..thanks for the help

Make sure all you linkage to the carb is adjusted properly and free moving.

we tried a few places on the linkage on where it should be. can you tell me how they should be or how to adjust them properly. we pulled it tight to the gov. weights and then tightedn down the rod goin to the carb. thanks alot for the help

If I remember right, with the motor off and throtal wide open the linkage should be a half hole short at the carb.
