we put money in our tractors to get a full pull correct? today at portersville i got a full pull on my H in division 3 in #4500 so theyre gonna reset the sled ok no big deal i go from 215 feet to 150 feet!!! it was me a JD a and an AC WC they wanna get all pissed cause we get a pull pull all i can say is theres enough pulls around i dont need that just wanted to see what u guys thought about that?

One year when we pulled mods my dad got really screwed. Pulling a single engine Mopar in 5500lbs open class. He was the first puller and hooked it out about 175 feet. Next was a v-12 allison who tried 2 times and made a long pull of 30 feet. So they said the skid must have been off and repulled the class. My dad then pulled 110 feet. again the allison attempted to pull and made it 20 feet. Then they decided to switch ends and start over. My dad pulled again and made it 75 feet. The allison couldn't get it of the line this time. So my dad pulled the fourth time and made it 40 feet and in seeing this they scrapped the class! Drive 350 mile to get screwed like that makes you really want to go back dosen't it.

I am assuming that the JD and the AC had to pull the sled after it was reset also. Seems that if they know the sled and what your tractor or one similar to it will pull and yours does better that that they should reset it. If yours will pull farther than the other two then it doesn' matter where you wind up on the track.

I had the sled operaor reset it on me once after I let off after 250 ft, they figured if I could pull it that easy the rest of the class could to. No need in setting up a pull off in July around here when you can restart the class and stop everyone shorter.

This is typical. You probably just whizzed off the wrong people. It always amazes me what people call unfair. The only thing that's unfair is "what someone else is doing." You can usually tell the "colors" of those running the pulls by two things. The first thing to look at is the rules. The rules are almost always in favor of, or I guess you could say against, a particular brand or some brands of tractors. The next thing is to watch what compromises they, the ones running the show, make DURING the pulls. I can understand compromising, but do it before the pulls start - not while they're going on. It sounds like you have a legitimate beef. Just go back the next time and whip their butts. My guess is that those who were running this show were either JD or AC fanatics or close friends of those who owned the JD or the Allis. You have to remember, all grown-ups are not "grown-up." Most of all, have FUN !!!!!
