I was wondering what has happened to Marshallville? It used to be the place to pull and you had to get there early or you weren't getting a parking spot. Today, the lot was half full at best. Was it because of the rain date or because of the way the pull is run? I'm not complaning because we did bad, we actually had a very good day and brought home a few plaques. I just was wanting to know why the numbers have dropped. They used to pull to all hours of the night and they were done before eight tonight. Just looking for a little input from other pullers. Thanks.

I think that the rain out last week, and perhaps lack of advertising has hurt them. If I remember correctly the May pull is always light on numbers, but not as light as yesterday. I am also getting a little tired of the sled, the long chain really kills the smaller tractors, pulling 100' on a 350' track and placing second in the class is ridiculus. The lack of numbers also makes it hard to pull juniors and adults with the same tractor, but the main reason we make the long drive is because of the junior classes.

I understand going for the junior classes. It's really great to have a place where kids can compete with other kids and have a good time. I hope the numbers are up next month.

I missed not being at m'ville saturday, but graduations come first.Especially when it's my oldest daughter. She and i will see you next time and try to beat that flat chain.
