petronix ignition and flamethrower coil question

if i am putting this set up on my tractor a allis chalmers wd what other settings should i do like some people saying u have to gap ur plugs bigger and you need to turn your fuel up. I wanna no excatly what to do so help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Running .040 gap on an H farmall but I do not have the hot coil.

You probably have a Delco dist. You can run plug gap up to .038 if your compression isn't to high and you are using good plugs & wires. Too much gap and you will have arcing in the cap. These old dist. were not designed for this high of output. The carb setting really should not change to much, but you can run a richer mixture with the hotter spark. (A rich mixture does not make horsepower though). You will mainly benefit from this system with more acurate timing, and better dependability. Hope this helps
