I need a bigger and better way to start my tractor rather than useing a log chain. The AR11159R starter just aint cuttin it. Has anyone tried to put a bigger starter on a JD 70 gas? Mine is around 745ci and Im having trouble trying to find a starter that will fit in that small area under the crankcase. Please Help! THANX TYLER

Can those be converted to the top mount starter? Did you ever find out if it would work? maybe hook up 2 12v batteries, and some very large battery cables going to the starter, I have seen on my H, when I used the smaller cables, when I hit the starter button, the cable will actually jump around!! And it would barely crank the engine, Changed the cables to bigger size, it does turn over alot better, 726ci 70 JD? HMMM,, That will be a strong puller !! Hope this helps,, ChadS

Chads, I do have the 70 diesel conversion plate to mount the starter on the top side. However, the top side of the crankcase is very thin and Im afraid it will crack. I think Denso makes a starter that will fit on the bottom, but Im not sure which one to use. Maybe sombody has a part number or some other thoughts on this . Thanx TYLER
