What ever happened to the Hookstown Hancock Pulling Club? Are they still in existence? Also looking for antique pulling clubs in an appx. 100 mile radius of Wheeling WV.

There's at least one pull a week (more during county fair season) in Fayette & southern Westmoreland Co. About six different but close-by sites. Schedule is somewhere. A few are dead weight which is a natural for the antiques (we call them classics); many are transfer with special rules to slow you down!

Our club pulls at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Washinton, PA. A link to our clubs web site is below. Sorry, I don't know anything about Hookstown. Eric

I am a former president of the Hookstown club. The story I hear is the fair grounds have have stopped allowing tractor pulls to go on that are not run by them! My opinion is last year the club added a V8 class against the wishes of the fair board so they shut them down. However there is a new place to pull about 15-20 min away. At the Raccoon Twp fire hall. Not sure there schedules but I do know they are listed in the farm and dairy paper.

Ray, sorry to hear about the move. I always enjoyed coming up and watching your club pull. Send me an email on who to get in touch with for registering to pull, etc. I would be looking to pull antique class original horsepower. [email protected]
