I always liked M farmalls. I like the stock appearing ones the best. I was wondering who has the strongest in your area. One that comes to mine is Eldon Walk from central Il. He pulls 7500# 2nd gear, stock RPMs. Who has the srongest stock RPM tractor in your area?

Dont forget about Brad Zeck's Wild Child Farmall M, not the strongest out there, but it does run strong. rpm is in left field, but, an honerable mention. ChadS

I can remember pulling at Young America, Indiana
at Zeck's farm in the late sixties or early
seventies. They were always tough.

A lot of it depends on the sled. The sled we have in Burton, Texas is so hard out of the hole, you are pulling hard to get it moving. My SM hasn't ever lost power, but sure as heck has lost traction.

Paul Marlatt probably has the strongest M in the country, although Jared Beduhn's is close!

200 HP THRU A "M" HEAD????? ??? I'M NOT SO SURE ABOUT ALL THESE BIG NUMBERS THAT ARE OFTEN TALKED ABOUT . I KNOW PAUL M.AND HAVE PURCHASED SOME STUFF FROM HIM . I NEVER SEEN HIS TRACTOR PULL BUT I'M SURE IT IS A REALY STRONG M FARMALL. I HAVE A MOLINE THAT DYNOS @ 167 HONEST H.P.AND IT PULLS 4TH 12-13 MPH IN 7700 LBS AND IT HAS ALL IT WANTS AND IN FACT IT HAS POWERED OUT A FEW TIMES ON A SUPER GOOD TRACK WITH THE BOX TOPPED OUT ON A 27,000 LB TRANSFER SLED. YET I SEE SOME OF THESE SO CALLED 200 + H.P. TRACTORS POWER OUT AT 5700 AND 6700 LBS AT 12-13 MPH. I THINK SOME OF THESE GUYS HAVE , HIGH PERFORMANCE DYNOS AND ARE CAUSING FALSE HOPE AMONG OTHERS . I KNOW ONE WHO CLAIMS 212 HP OUT OF 466 CID M. THAT'S ONLY 2.19 CUBIC INCHES PER HORSE POWER THRU LITTLE PORTS AND SMALL VALVES FIRING EVERY 90 DEGREES OF CRANK ROTATION. I'M FROM SOUTH CAROLINA NOT MISSOURI BUT YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO SHOW ME . PERSONALLY I THINK ONE WILL NEED A AIR COMPRESSOR DEVISE OR SOMETHING BESIDES GASOLINE TO ACHEIVE THAT KIND OF YIELD. I DON'T MEAN TO MAKE ANYONE MAD AND NOT MAKING ANY ACCUSATIONS BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO EVEN COME CLOSE TO THAT KIND OF EFFICENCY AND 200 + H.P. IS A WHOLE LOT OF HORSE POWER WITHOUT A TURBO. MY 2 CENTS WORTH ON BIG H.P. NUMBERS DANNY H SR
