Hi fellas. Just wondering why there have been a couple gals in the past few months asking why us guys get a kick out of pulling. Curious about why they wanna know. Personally I know quite a few women in my club that pull, enjoy it tremendously, and kick major butt. (Sometimes mine.) Any single ones in their 20s out there? Haha. Let's hear it for our lady pullers. They know why it's so much fun. Am I right Val, Teressa, and Cookie?

Hey guys...I'm 15 years old and pull an international 1468 (a v-8)....and i have an answer to the question "Why do I get a kick out of pullin?"Let me just say first of all that there is nothin like all the attention i get from all those boys at the pull after i take her down the track!Second of all I love seein their faces when i hook up to the sled....I know exactly what most of em are thinkin.."She ain't gonna do anygood!" But the real joy of pullin is goin down that track knowing that you may very well have just beat a bunch of people who never thought they even had to worry about you even comin close! So to all those girl pullers out there.....KEEP KICKIN ASS!And to all those boys out there.....DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY!

Shew! I let my big sister pull my H last year. The first day she had ever pulled in her life, she beat my by 9' in the same class and took the third place trophy. It was all good though--I was just glad to see some red placing in the 4000 lb.

I know a lady from Iowa by the name of Dixie that can stick the nose of her 44 Massey out ahead of us most any time.

We've got a couple girls who pull too. One guy had to get a second tractor because his daughter was doing better on the original one that he was. Now the second daughter has her eyes on the new one. Not to mention a certain tough old G from Eddyville that's whipped all of us on several occassions.

Hey guys; there is a group of young ladies out there that love to pull !!!!! ! I started one out on my Oliver Super 77 3 years ago. She was a computer engineering student at Iowa State university; grew up in the Minneapolis, Minn. area & had never driven a tractor before I put her on mine. I spent a couple of hours with her having her drive the tractor around until, she was familiar with it & then having her back it up to a big block of wood, stopping just short of touching it with the drawbar (so that she would be able to back up to the sled & hook up. After she was able to do that consistently, I hooked a larger tractor behind the 77 with a chain & let her pull it around. By applying the brakes gradually, I was able to give her a feel for what would happen during a real pull. She did real well at the 4 pulls I took her to. I just wish the tractor had been better prepared (tires needed sharpening). She still beat me twice & won a third place trophy in a group of 14 tractors at one pull. Last year I asked a 17 year old young lady if she was interested in trying pulling & she said "What do I have to do??". Two 1 hour long sessions with her & she did real well including a first place out of fifteen or sixteen tractors. She will be driving my Oliver 1950GM this summer. Another 17 year young lady will be driving the Super 77 this summer. She has never driven anything with a clutch so there may be a bit more to the learning curve for her but she is the adventuresome type so I don't think there will be a problem. Guys, ask your daughters, sisters, youg lady freinds & aquaintences to give it a try. There ain't enough pretty girls involved in tractor pulling!!!!! !!! Dave
