I am looking for a tractor that I can really go for a ride on. High reving, 3rd-5th gear and somthing that will beat those cheating olivers. I was wondering if A Massey 101 Sr. would be the ticket? I would like to run 3200-5500 with the tractor, but I'm not sure waht these tractors wieghted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Save your money if your going to pull against full tilt olivers. You can get your 101 with driver in 3500 lbs. class. Your really limited with a flat head. They do like rpm. Try to find a 265 cu. combine motor. It helps. Not much room to stroke or bore. On the other had, I've seen a hot farm 101 with a turbo run hard. Good Luck!

My wife bought a 101 Super last winter. It weighs about 3600 without a driver, on 13.6x38s.

IF we decide to pull it, we are going to have to stick some money under the hood. The stock little flathead Chrysler in this tractor has no torque at all. There is a good running 101 from Minnesota, I think, but there aren't many on the track. I believe his name is Randy Zelinski (sp?). Good Luck.

I use to pull a 1938 Massey Harris Super 101 with the Chrysler 6 cyl in it. I think you shoulld be able to get it down around 3300 lbs with no driver. I used all aluminum weight brackets and 13.6-38 tires. The higest gear I could ever pull in was 2nd gear 5 - 6 mph. 3rd gear you will be looking at around 10 mph. Good luck.
