The number #7 is just the series. The 7-1 is for a "G" model. The 7-2 is for a model "70". Only the 70 gas head fits the 7-2. But, 7-2 block will fit a G or a 70 tractor. All three "G" heads, and a 70 all fuel head, will fit the 7-1 block.
Hope this helps.

I have seen them for 1500 in the past, the cheapest I have seen was 1000...none usually come with pistons. got a question for ya big jugs...or wtw...whoever answers first....what is the difference in a 7-1 and a 7-2? and y do they say 7 if there a 6.5 " bore and a 6-1 a is 6" and a 5-3 50 is 5" bore? thanks alot, a puller

The blocks marked 5-1, 5-2 and 5-3 are all a 5" bore. Pistons in the 5" series will all interchange. The blocks marked 6-1, 6-2 and 6-3 are all a 6" bore. Pistons in the 6" series will all interchange. The blocks marked 7-1 and 7-2 are all 6.5" bore. Piston are different as they have different compression distances. The shorter 70 Power-block pistons will work good and make an easy way to stroke a G with a G Power-block.

A 7-1 is for the G. A 7-2 is for the 70.

good questions...haven't figured that one out yet! on an A, 6-1 means for unstyled through 46, 6-2 is for 47-49, 6-3 is for 50 through 52 and 60 models. The rest???maybe 7" stroke....maybe?

I have one. Will only part with it for 2000.00. Of course you will change pistons, they are a much larger bore. Rods stay the same. Depends how bad you want to win!
