i, among others i pull with did not go to this pull this year. we got screwed around last year with pre registration, the track was prepped for the v-8's and not for us. we pull div 2 with as many as 40 tractors. we went to the pull in Talmadge (Akron)last month, & for a first time pull it went very smooth. this was NATPA though. COATPA is going to loose a lot of antique tractors this summer. people are fed up with the way they do things. this is my opinion!

I went to the Super Pull (as it is now called) Dekalb is no longer a major player,,YES the numbers were way down, they should not have chosen Easter weekend for the pull, for one thing, the other is the "GOOD ole BOYS" format, that for some reason comes out at every pull,,,take a look at what happended with the small block V-8 class(I wish I could of had the track packed for half an hour for me in the middle of the class),,,and why is the speed limit going down to 4-mph next year?,,,and when there were a question about a RPM issue,Why was I told,"You run your pull your way,and WE will run our pull OUR way",,,and the mini rods got shafted real bad, they pulled in front of an empty auditorium,,,and the best show was the Diesel Trucks, but all "THEY" would allow was ten trucks in the class!,,What's up with that!",,,,

No crowd for the mini's, so sad they have to have other classes to draw the crowd for them.
In my opinion it was the best pull they have had in the evening classes.

we were in the crowd friday night and no one wanted to watch the minis. if they limited the diesel trucks then that was a big mistake everyone wanted to see more. saturdays pull went well but numbers were down. i'd guess easter weekend and you have to admit its getting expensive to pull dekalb, but it beats not pulling at all. hey the guy that helped us put on weights between the 7500 and 8500, THANKS i didn't see you after we pulled and i'm sorry but i forgot your name and lost your email address. the old ub popped out of gear on me in the 8500. everone told us it would sooner or later and we should have put a wedge in it. but i learn the hard way.

I don't have any results, but it looked like the numbers were way down. I only went Saturday so I don't know what Friday was like attendance wise. They were done pulling Div. 4 classes by 12 noon with the largest class (Div. 4) with about 8. The parking barn was nowhere near as full as in the past. I liked the April weather, but not the April attendance.
