I started taking apart a moline utu and i have never had much dealings with moline, just deere's. The heads are GM 30 K, are these decent heads for pulling, mostly stock, or if i came up on some more what heads would be best. The carb is a TSX 67, is this right or has someone changed it over the years. I have no info on it's previous life so thats why i'm asking about the carb. Also what is the normal hp. of a utu. Thanks for any info, Ken.

Yes, MM 10A4210, 4213, or 4206 heads would work well. A stock U runs about 45-48h.p. depending on heads and things. Your carb should be correct I think. If you have any questions, drop me an e-mail.

Ken, I suppose this is a 283 4cyl engine. I believe those are low comp heads designed to run tractor fuel or distillate. Are you sure they are gm 30K or are they GE 30 K. I have a chart that gives all the different head specs. It shows the GE 30k 4.4 to 1 comp ratio 90 to 110 lbs cold cranking. I would look for some 4210s or 4206. Just my opinion. I might be able to help you with a set of 4210s. You gonna make it to Arkansas to pull with us this summer? Hope this helps. H.H.

Yes they are GE 30 K, don't know where i got GM from. I don't know the size, it's a four cylinder, a fellow gave it to me, it has been sitting for a while, but as i take it apart i'm suprised how good it looks on the inside. If i don't find any cracks it may be alright to fix. It would take some getting use to sitting way back behind the wheels, your butt is the last thing back there. May check back on some heads if i don't find any bad stuff in there. Thanks Ken.
