I have a 1960 farmall 460 diesel with the fast hitch on it. I am wondering what i can do to lock that hitch from moving and to secure it for pulling. Any input is appreciated.

You disconnect the lift arms (at their top connection-usually just heavy hair pins) and connect those pins to the mounting slots on the frame. You always do that when using PTO. When you want to plow, switch back to use hydraulic lift. Had a 460 for about 30 years, the hitch was attached solid to frame about 29 & 1/2 of those 30 yrs.

By the way, a 460 with fast hitch latched to frame is about the best- no, THE best- puller ever made.

I may have what you need. How picky are you? Have a modified hitch from a 400 and a SMTA I am parting out. Will need to look at the MTA. Will do if you are interested. I am in NW Iowa.
